Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 we're gonna be showing you how to install the upgraded Modulite Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit with the four pole flat trailer connector, part number is 119147KIT.Now our four pole wire, it's gonna stay inside of the back of the vehicle until we need it. When we do we want to run it over, you see that weather stripping there is gonna give us some cushion just like that, draw up whatever length you need, and then you can close your hatch, it'll be ready to connect. When not in use I like to roll it up, we can tuck it under the storage area here, just gonna loop it back and forth on itself and our dust cover's not really gonna keep any dust off inside the car, but it can be used to go around our wiring and keep it kind of bundled up. We can tuck it right over here into this cubby hole, never have to worry about it until we needed it and pull it out and put it to use.To begin our installation we're gonna gain access into the rear areas here so we're gonna lift this up, we'll use the hook to hold it up and out of the way for us. Then you'll see at the clip you're gonna have a metal rod that runs down and holds this panel into place or this mesh into place. We'll push in towards the outside of the car then we can just lift up on that slightly and see we'll be able to rotate that up and out of the way and we'll take our screwdriver, we'll need to pop this panel up, it'll allow us to release that. more
